How to Start a New SAM Registration
To work with the federal government for contracts, grants, or nonprofit funding, you must complete your registration in the System for Award Management (SAM). Businesses can apply for contracting opportunities, while nonprofits can register for grant eligibility.
Once your registration is completed, it remains active for one year. To avoid interruptions, you must renew it annually. It’s recommended to begin the renewal process at least 90 days before your expiration date.
